Jessica Todd, LMHC

Hi, I’m Jessica Todd, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and the therapist behind Upper Left Coast Counseling. I provide online therapy for adults, teens, parents, caregivers, and public educators in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho.

I’ve always been the kind of person people feel comfortable opening up to—whether it’s in the checkout line, at a party, or in everyday conversation. I love helping others make sense of their experiences, navigate life’s changes, and build confidence in who they are.

But therapy isn’t just my work—it’s something I deeply believe in. I know firsthand how important it is to have a space where you can be seen, heard, and understood—without judgment.

My Approach

Therapy with me is a mix of deep conversations, practical strategies, and—when appropriate—a little humor to keep things real. My approach is warm, collaborative, and client-centered, blending relational work, parts work, and radical acceptance with tangible coping skills and emotional language-building.

I won’t just sit and nod—I’ll ask thoughtful questions, offer new perspectives, and help you develop practical coping skills. I use client-centered, relational therapy with elements of:

Client-Centered & Practical – We focus on what works for you
Relational & Supportive – You don’t have to figure this out alone
Engaged, Interactive Sessions – This isn’t just “Mm-hmm, tell me more” therapy—I’m here to collaborate, problem-solve, and support you

I believe that humor has a place in healing and that it’s okay to be a work in progress while still striving for growth.  If you’re looking for a therapist who will meet you where you are—with honesty, warmth, and a little humor—I’d love to work with y

More About Me

When I’m not working, you’ll find me spending time with my dogs and way too many houseplants, reading a good book, watching offbeat movies, listening to music, or bullet journaling. As an introvert, I understand the importance of recharging and creating spaces where you don’t have to perform.
